Services
I provide consultations and expert witness assistance for lawyers and insurance carriers primarily In the Field of Garage Doors, Commercial Doors, and Automatic Gates. I am a litigation consultant and standards expert with many years of doing site inspections; doing accident reconstruction; writing expert reports, affidavits, declarations, etc., and providing testimony in civil injury and damage cases.
Qualifications
I have been employed in the Industry for over 50 years and have worked in nearly every position in this Industry. This Industry has become highly regulated in recent decades because of thousands of injuries and deaths that have occurred. I have been a manufacturer, installation & maintenance contractor in the Industry for over 40 years.
I am not a Professional Engineer, but I was elected president of the National Association of Garage Door Manufacturers and served for 2 years. I was also appointed to the Industry technical committee as chairman – this is the committee that includes Industry engineers, designers and manufacturers.
I am accredited in the door and gate industry and I supervise and train my employees who have received door and gate certifications.
I am currently a voting member of the Underwriter’s Laboratories Standards Technical Panel for garage door and gate safety standards. I am a licensed garage door and gate contractor in several states, and my businesses are involved with installation, maintenance, and repair of all types of doors and gates.
I am qualified and have many years of experience testifying and rendering opinions about garage doors of all types, including the type of Door at this property. Location
I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and I travel and work with clients nationwide. I have helped on cases in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

I have been a consultant in cases of all sizes, from the highest profile cases in our industry to the smallest finger injury cases that involved lawsuits. I was the lead expert in an Indiana case that awarded $23 Million in damages.
